Unitree’s G1 and R1 families offer routes into humanoid ownership, demonstrations and development. The right choice depends on the exact edition and what you intend to do with it. A personal enthusiast, a university and a commercial operator may need different configurations.

Choose the edition before comparing offers

Source review: 10 September 2026. Unitree publishes product and store pages for G1 and R1. Its information distinguishes standard and EDU configurations, and the reviewed store pages direct buyers who need secondary development to the EDU edition. Check the released software access, sensors, hands, accessories and documentation supplied with your chosen version.

The manufacturer notes that some functions shown are still being developed and tested. It also advises individual users to understand the limitations of humanoids before purchasing and to follow the prescribed operating distance. A product video should be matched to the capabilities included in the purchase.

What do you want to do?

  • Personal exploration: understand operator skills, available functions, setup and the space required.
  • Demonstrations: define the audience, task, supervision and whether movements are autonomous, scripted or controlled remotely.
  • Research or education: specify development access, interfaces, documentation and the technical support your programme needs.
  • Business use: define a task and measurable acceptance criteria before deciding whether the machine fits the application.

A development-capable humanoid is not automatically a ready-to-use household assistant. Request a relevant demonstration and identify any integration work needed for your intended task.

Availability needs a written answer

The reviewed G1 store page described a backorder. The R1 store displayed mixed stock messages for a selected configuration. For that reason, we do not infer immediate dispatch from an order button or a global product price. Nigeria appearing in a store selector also does not establish a local warranty or a complete fulfilment route.

Ask the seller to confirm the exact edition, stock and lead time, shipping eligibility, import responsibilities, warranty territory and service location. Keep software access and spare-parts support in the written offer. The delivered cost should identify freight, insurance, taxes, clearance and local support separately where applicable.

Choose the business option in the form if enquiring for an organisation. Include your city, intended use, preferred edition, budget and timing. An enquiry is saved for our team to review; it does not place a Unitree order or confirm stock. 9jaRobotics is an independent service and has not claimed a Unitree appointment.
